The Roadway Resurfacing Project (HDMB)

The Roadway Resurfacing Project which included High Density Mineral Bond (HDMB) consisted of resurfacing residential neighborhoods with HDMB supplied by the company HA5. HA5 uses a mixture of fine aggregates combined with a proprietary and uniquely stable base emulsion that includes materials to resist UV damage. HA5 Reduces cracking and raveling by effectively preserving the existing asphalt binder. Effectively deflects UV rays and has excellent durability and life extension. Reduces aging by restoring oils and resins to the surface. High aesthetic appeal with a pleasing “surface friendly” finish that is very well accepted by the residence of the City of Rocklin. The HDMB is part of the City’s prevention maintenance toolbox to save California Streets.
