Improvements to Armorlite Drive to become a multi-model complete street. The improvements consist of enhanced walkways, bike racks, street furnishings, tree wells, parking, pedestrian lighting, bioswales for storm water treatment, and a Class 1 bike path on the north side of the street. Traffic calming measures consist of reduced travel lane widths, on-street parking, median, chicane, and mid-block pedestrian crossings with rapid flashing beacons. The enhanced roadway serves as the frontage road for recent mixed-use developments (Palomar Station and Davia). The new bike path provides connectivity between the Inland Rail Trail on West Mission Road, Palomar College Train Station, and Mission Sports Park.
