Our Story
Who we are
California’s cities and counties, in partnership with regional transportation agencies, have worked together since 2008 to educate policymakers and the public about the investments needed to provide California with a seamless, multi-modal transportation system. We need a dedicated, stable funding source for local roads and bridges which will save taxpayers from paying significantly more in the future.

2023 Local Project Listings
The Outstanding Local Streets and Roads Project Awards Program was developed to recognize and raise awareness of the exceptional achievements made by California’s cities and counties to preserve and protect the public’s investment in the local street and road system. Forward-thinking cities and counties have made extraordinary efforts to preserve and improve the existing local transportation system through a variety of types of projects and programs. To share the exceptional work, ALL projects submitted for an award are included as part of the local project listing database.
